Life is a highway that’s often dusty and lonely but takes you places you’ve always dreamt of. A road trip that is this long teaches you about other cultures, your car, your partner and mainly about yourself. Obviously life is full of new things to see and do no matter where you are but in a different country you are constantly exposed to something: jelly-like spit with tadpoles hanging on a leaf, monkeys and raccoons that are so obnoxious that they try to steal your stuff even if your right there, curious iguanas, leaky van roof (5 different spots)…and we happened to find a shy little mushroom growing under the back door of our van! :)
On Nov.7 our friend Mirka flew in from Czech and so Kamil had a chance to enjoy living with two girls on an area of 2×4 meters! To a man this could sometimes be a dream, and other times a nightmare! We finally had a chance to pull out the top bunk bed so there was room for everyone to party!
One evening we planned to hike up Costa Rica’s highest mountain, Cerro Chiripo 3820m. We decided to do the hike in one day, which was a crazy idea and ment a 40km round trip and 2300m in altitude difference. It wasn’t until two days later we could start cracking jokes about our nice little 18 hour walk!
A day later we were back at the beach, relaxing and trying to catch a few waves.
All we ended up catching was the reef that left Kamil with a dinged up board and me with a broken fin! And then the next morning the Van decided to have a flat tire! Shit happens! :) So once again the time has come to zip over the boarder to Panama….
