Turkey – wealth of experience for Anja
The end of winter usualy means the end of season for snowboarders. Have you ever wondered what they do when they don't ride their boards? Here's one example from Anja Stefan..
Past two weeks I’ve spend in Turkey.
First we were in Siirit, one of the poorest regions located in the southeast of Turkey, where we took part in international project named “Let’s Learn Together”. It was a bit diferent travel experience than ever before.
Over this time we somehow merged with the local population there, which was one of the most edifying and rich experience for me. People have heartily embraced us! They were so open and friendly that in some ways was a bit strange and shocking for me.
Also, nature and landscape there are amazing, untouched by tourism industry. It has a special charm. River Botan, which you can see in the pictures, the slice of the Tigris river.
Afterwards, we wandered a few days around Istanbul. For me, it is a huge urban jungle! I’ve never seen such a concentration of people, especially tourists in one place before. It was a bit strange after Siirt. But it was nice to see it as well.
Hope you’ll like the pics :)
