HF Girls Crew x Penken Park: Riding, fun and hype energy

31/1/2026 | Horsefeathers / RenÄŤa

Penken Park, an amazing setup and our riders crew. Riding together, lots of fun, laughs, hype energy and support that keeps pushing you further. Trips like this remind you that snowboarding is really all about the people around you. Anne, Uki and Tinka look back on the moments that fired them up, the inside stories, and why a girls-only trip in the mountains has such a special atmosphere.

If you had to describe this trip in one sentence, what would it be?

Anne: It’s a week with friends where it feels completely natural to give your all—on the snow and off it too. We create together, learn from each other, and build something like a team.

Uki: Strong, motivated, independent women all in one place!

Tinka: For me, this trip was mainly about the fact that it was just the three of us riders, and the whole team around us could fully focus on us. Everything was chill, no stress. We had time to enjoy riding and get really good photos and videos. We basically had space just for us, which was totally top.

What was the main vibe and energy of the trip for you?

Anne: It was a mix of motivation and great energy. We were focused on riding, but there was also a lot of laughter, creativity, and support for each other.

Uki: I’d say the same as in the first question.

Tinka: I’d say the main thing was creativity. The weather changed constantly—snow, then rain, then hail, then sunshine… it was pretty crazy. That made us want to use every good moment even more, we pushed each other and came up with new ideas. When the park conditions weren’t ideal, we hit some side hits outside and had a brutal amount of fun. The whole trip had an awesome atmosphere and tons of riding together.

Anne, Uki and Tinka

“Each of us rides a bit differently — Anne grew up riding indoor halls, I’m from classic mountains, and Uki is at home in pow and on kickers. That connection of different styles made the whole trip even better.” — Tinka

What mindset did you arrive with, and what did you leave with?

Anne: My contest season was slowly coming to an end and I was still pretty locked in. I didn’t really have time to just switch off and enjoy riding with friends. Girls trip was exactly what I needed. It reminded me that snowboarding is mainly about friends and having fun together. I left with even more energy and motivation for the last big contest of this season in the USA.

Uki: I came in with the mindset of “I want to be a good teammate,” and I left thinking, “Can we have one more week of this?”

Tinka: I didn’t go with any big expectations—I was just stoked we’d ride together in Mayrhofen, which I love. I knew it would be a good park and that we’d hype each other up and level up our tricks. I came back with an amazing feeling that a girls-only trip is totally different than when the whole crew is there. We were closer, talked more, got to know each other beyond riding, and it all had such a nice, strong energy.

How did you enjoy riding? More pushing yourself or fun & flow?

Anne: I wanted to give my maximum so we could get really nice footage, but I didn’t feel any pressure. When I ride and create with Horsefeathers, I always feel good and it naturally goes into flow. It’s just fun and good riding.

Uki: I’d say we were mostly pushing each other. The girls hyped me up hard and pushed me forward.

Tinka: It was mainly about fun and flow. We really enjoyed riding, there was a lot of laughing, and everything happened spontaneously. The snow was kind of slushy, so it rode super soft and playful. We hyped each other into tricks, tried new things, and it was so obvious how we were pushing each other to progress.

“This trip reminded me that snowboarding is mainly about friends and having fun together. It was exactly what I needed after contest season.” – Anne

Your personal highlight?

Anne: The last day the weather was terrible — a storm with wet snow. But after lunch we said we’d do one more hike session to the mailbox. I started with easier tricks, but Uki, Tinka and the whole team supported me so much that they put me into full send mode. I landed sw bs lip there for the first time outside my home indoor hall, and I immediately knew it would be my new contest trick. Two weeks later I landed it at the biggest rail jam of the year, The Uninvited. That was pure teamwork.

Uki: My highlight was definitely my method from a side hit session. Side hits were one of the most exciting parts of the whole trip!

Tinka: For me it was definitely the stair set, because we really went off and came up with original tricks and little fun bits. We tried things like tail slides or tail presses down the whole stairs with a 180 out, so much fun. At the end there was a wallride, and we played around with different ideas and angles, so it all felt super creative.

How did your dynamic work as a group? Who was hype queen, chill soul, and chaos element?

Anne: Hype queen: Uki, no hesitation! This girl is pure sunshine, always bringing fun and stoke. Chill soul: Probably me. I’m more of a calm person, but by the end of the week the crew pulled out a more hype version of me too. Chaos element: In the end, we were all the chaos element. The laughter and jokes were contagious.

Uki: Tinka is the hype queen 100%. Anne looks totally chill on the outside, but inside she’s got a brutal fire and drive. And I’m the chaos element, especially when I start talking nonsense :D

Tinka: Between us it was a really easy, comfortable vibe. After riding we chilled, did sauna, talked a lot at the accommodation, and gradually clicked even more. Each of us rides a bit differently — Anne grew up riding indoor halls, I’m from classic mountains, and Uki is at home in pow and on kickers. That connection of different styles made the whole trip even better. Anne was pretty strict with herself and worked hard on technical tricks until she got them, which I really respect. Uki was always joking around and kept us in a good mood. But honestly, I wouldn’t put anyone into boxes—each of us was totally different, and that was the best part.

The funniest or most legendary moment?

Anne: The last night we went for dinner and found out Steve (Gruber) was in the bar right next door. So we joined him for darts. Those were our last moments together and we fully enjoyed them!

Uki: Definitely all our chats and jokes at dinner.

Tinka: One evening we went for dinner and it randomly turned into ending up in this legendary local bar. We played darts, told stories, and Uki had us dying laughing with her storky. It was a brutally good time and we laughed almost nonstop. And yeah… some things from that night we’ll keep just for ourselves, haha.

A small detail that captures the whole girls trip to Mayrhofen?

Anne: We tried to learn a few words from each other’s languages and it was hilarious. I found out my Japanese doesn’t sound that bad! Now before riding in the park I’ll sometimes say “Itadakimasu!” (Japanese: enjoy your meal).

Uki: For me it was the constant support. We always hyped each other up, cheered each other on, and pushed into new things.

Tinka: For me it was one word: Merlion — this famous statue in Singapore, a lion that spits water. It turned into a legendary inside story after one night when Uki started comparing herself to the Merlion. We kept laughing about it for the whole trip, and moments like that perfectly capture the whole Mayrhofen girls trip.

What did a typical day look like?

Anne: We’d get up, have breakfast together, and get ready for the mountain. Then we rode all day in the park and also a bit outside, enjoying sessions together. After a day on snow we relaxed in the sauna and ended the day with dinner together. The last evening was absolutely legendary and I’ll never see Merlion the same way again!

Uki: Slow breakfast, the hype and energy gradually built up. And when we finished riding, we always had huge smiles and an awesome feeling from the whole day.

Tinka: After breakfast we went up by gondola, and the jokes started right away. On the mountain we did some stretching and spent the whole day enjoying riding, tricks, and sessions together, depending on what we felt like and what the weather was doing. After the day we went back to the accommodation, had snacks, sauna, dinner, and in the evening we just chilled and talked.

“HF gives me the feeling that I can be something special, and I think that kind of mindset is super important in snowboarding. Thanks for being a constant inspiration for me.” – Uki

Any parties, or more chill at the accommodation?

Anne: It was more about chilling. But the last night we went out with Vašek, our media king, and Steve for darts.

Uki: I don’t think any of us is really a party type. Personally I’d rather stay focused on snowboarding the next day than go hard at a big party, haha.

Tinka: The last evening we went out and ran into Steve Gruber too. We played darts, the vibe was great, lots of laughs. We had an awesome time.

What does it mean to you to be part of the HF team as a rider?

Anne: Being part of the HF team feels like being part of a family. I really appreciate all the opportunities we have, and I see this trip as a chance to ride together and celebrate everything we’ve been working on and what’s already happened.

Uki: HF gives me the feeling that I can be something special, and I think that kind of mindset is super important in snowboarding. Thanks for being a constant inspiration for me.

Tinka: Being in the HF team means belonging to a community where we support each other, motivate each other, and push each other forward—not only in riding, but also as people. It’s an environment where I can be myself, grow at my own pace, and be part of something that shares the same energy, values, and vision. I really appreciate the trust the team gives me and that I can be part of it.
