Richard Gasperotti: OVER the EDGE
Gaspi has an obsession with volcanoes and anything that resembles them. It feels like home on Etna, and if there is no volcano nearby, you can go down at least one of the mining shafts. When at the end of last year he came up with the idea of going to Guatemala to climb three local active volcanoes - Pacaya, Acatenango and Fuego - we were not surprised. The word active always freezes us a bit, but we will talk about that in the documentary... Gaspi put together a crew of the same crazy people. Ladis Zeman stood behind the camera, Míla Štáfek behind the camera, and Honza Dvořák completed the team as part of the Sportin.art project, and they set off in January. As always, not everything went according to plan and dealing with different situations in a country like Guatemala can be quite a challenge. The guys returned safely and brought a lot of interesting material that they would like to show you as part of the official premiere of the documentary OVER the EDGE - Guatemala volcanoes.
ONLINE PREMIERE: SUNDAY 26.3. | 19:00
