3-LAYER SHELL MATERIAL ULTRATECH® RECYCLED

UltraTech Recycled 3-Layer is a high-end technology developed in collaboration with Taiwanese technical fabric specialists. Its 3-layer construction offers ideal parameters for use in the backcountry. This material is the lightest, most durable and most breathable shell fabric we have ever used.

The outer C6 DWR water-repellent finish prevents moisture from soaking into the outer surface of the fabric. The C6 treatment, with its shorter chain, breaks down more quickly in the environment and has less toxicity to humans and nature.

P-Life® oxo-biodegradable technology is an effective way to accelerate the degradation of plastics without harming the environment. P-life® is the only proven oxo-biodegradable plastic additive in the world.

P-Life is a patented additive technology that creates oxo-biodegradable polymers from polyolefin polymers, which are considered biodegradable polymers. P-Life® creates a molecular cleavage in the polymer chain, which allows oxygen to bind to the polymer and break it down into smaller and smaller compounds. These can then be naturally consumed by microorganisms that convert the compounds into organic biomass. The result of this technology is packaging that begins to decompose within a few years (or even months) of its use, instead of decades or centuries of polluting the Earth.
