If there’s anyone who has something to say about hoodies, it’s our rider Fabi Fraidl. You’ll rarely see him riding in anything else. That’s exactly why we teamed up with him to create his signature design — FBW, Fabi’s Barbed Wire, featured on a T-shirt, longsleeve, and hoodie. In a short interview, Fabi told us how the drop came together, what inspired him, and who this edition was made for.

Hey Fabi, this year we have a special HF x Fabi drop in the collection, featuring three pieces – a T-shirt, a longsleeve, and a hoodie. How did the creation of this design come together, and what was the main inspiration behind it?

I’m super hyped on this one. The whole idea came together pretty naturally, we wanted something that felt raw and true to my style and the way I ride. The barbed wire graphic was inspired by hopping fences and getting clips, that mission mindset of finding spots and making things happen no matter what.

Who do you think this edition is for? Who should definitely add it to their wardrobe?

Honestly, it’s for anyone who’s into riding, skating, filming, hanging with friends, and just being out doing stuff. I wear it for pretty much everything: skating, BBQs, partying, traveling, and of course, snowboarding. It’s one of those pieces that works just as well on the hill as it does off it.

You’re known for rocking a hoodie as your go-to riding piece. How does it feel to now have your own signature one?

It’s really sick. Hoodies have always been my go-to when I ride, so getting to create my own signature piece is unreal. I’ve always felt like riding in a hoodie is just better – you feel more free, and the movement is way nicer compared to a regular jacket. I wanted this one to have that perfect fit and feel, something I’d genuinely wear every day, not just for snowboarding. Seeing people ride in it and make their own memories wearing it is probably the coolest part.
